Center of Contemporary Art DOX, gallery with an opinion

What do you think first when DOX is told? It is not far from the general consciousness, yet this Prague cultural facility with a logo consisting of a square, a circle and a cross is already among the top ten most visited galleries in the Czech Republic. This multifunctional space opened its gates to the general public with the exhibition "Welcome to Capitalism!" in 2008. Since then, many extraordinary events have taken place here.

The shot of DOX in presenting modern architecture, design, painting, sculpture and film is truly extraoridary. The unique conception of the center of contemporary art also implies that the building in which it is located is one of the top works of contemporary world architecture. This is proved by the nomination of an original factory rebuilt according to the design of architect Ivan Kroupa at several prestigious awards.

DOX hides an exhibition area over 3 000 square meters, a bookstore, a coffe and a design shop by DOX by Qubus. You can also take part in various educational programs, including sightseeing tours of Prague by the eyes of homeless people or the competition "Do you have an art gut?".
